Innovative Research in Virtual Worlds 2011


Learning Innovation Applied Research Group at Coventry University, UK  is hosting its first two-day conference, Innovative Research in Virtual Worlds, on the 3rd and 4th November 2011. A dissemination event for the Leverhulme Trust funded CURLIEWprojectIRVW 2011 provides an opportunity to interact, discuss and collaborate on the topic of innovative research in virtual worlds. IRVW 2011 will focus on a number of virtual world themes:

          Real life and virtual identities

          Pedagogical design

          Student experiences of learning in virtual worlds

          Proxemics and spatial practice

          Evaluation of virtual world learning

          Futures and visions

The keynote speakers are Professor Mike Sharples and Dr Gary Priestnall of Nottingham University, UK, and Professor Judith Molka-Danielsen of MoldeUniversity College, Norway.

 

Call for Submissions

 

Abstracts may be up to 1000 words and in line with one or more of the conference themes listed above. Submissions should be sent via e-mail attachment to learninginnovation.hls@coventry.ac.uk by the deadline of 4th April 2011.
