《教育技术学专业英语》课程教学手记

         教材虽然是我主持编写的，但是说实话，专业英语的教学经验我还是比较欠缺的。这个学期与EGG合作讲授这个课程，我很希望能有更多的机会去上课，无奈冗务缠身，很是矛盾哦！

         今天下午正好有机会再讲一次。讲授的内容是教材中的第15章：Introduction of ICT Curriculum。共四个SECTION。

                                             Section A: Aims of  ICT in Education
                                             Section B: How  to Teach ICT
                                             Section C: How to Design ICT
                                             Section D: An Evaluation Tool of ICT

         其中Section A 相当于这一章的导言，介绍为什么要在教育中应用ICT。Section B是讲如何教授ICT。在教材后面选译的就是这个部分。Section C从字面理解是如何设计ICT，实际上是谈如何更好地在课堂教学中使用ICT，作者给了13个建议。Section D主要是介绍Electronic Portfolio的好处，特别是在教师教育中的好处。

         如何处理这一章教材，怎么来上好这一讲？ 我考虑再三，做了如下设计：

         重点讲好Section A。从字、词、句、篇章不同层次入手。先介绍IT和ICT这两个缩略词。接着开始边引导阅读，边讲解。讲解要点包括：

         1、Utilitarian  既是形容词，又是名词。形容词时其意思是“实利的、功利主义的, 实利主义的”；名词用时其意思是“功利主义者；实利主义者”。

         3、Effective 与 efficient 的区别。这个东西其实在高中一年级学生应该就学过的，可是在实际应用中经常出错。所以花点时间还是值得的。

         4、对于reflective词，我使用John Deway的一句话来解释这个词。

To reflect is to look back over what has been done so as to extract the next meanings which are the capital stock for intelligent dealing with further experiences. It is the heart of the intellectual organization and of the disciplined mind.

         5、介绍了Pre-servce 和 In-Service

         6、教学中，自己有一处发音错误： Equity

         7、另外一个重点是长句的阅读理解。在教材中，有一个长句，如下：

Those who have a social perspective feel that the introduction and use of ICT into our educational system should assist educational institutions in increasing an individual’s awareness of himself/herself and his/her relationship with other members of society thereby leading to a more socially just society.

         对于长句，我个人理解阅读的关键是抓句子的核心结构。就上句而言，最核心的结构是  Those feel that.其他的全部是对这个核心结构的修饰、补充、解释等等。如who have a social perspective，是定语从句修饰Those的。

         再看THAT后面的从句：the introduction and use of ICT into our educational system should assist educational institutions in increasing an individual’s awareness of himself/herself and his/her relationship with other members of society thereby leading to a more socially just society.

         这个从句也是一个长句。如法炮制，其核心结构是： the introduction and use      should assist       educational institutions in。这里的in是将在哪些方面或以什么方式支持。一个是increasing an individual’s awareness，一个是leading to a more socially just society。这2个之间还有个前后顺序，所以在leading to a more socially just society的前面有个thereby。

         如此一分解，句子很简单了，长句短了，好理解了，甚至这样的长句，看2遍都可以背诵出来了。我随机叫了几个同学，他们确实几乎都可以背下来。

         长句阅读很重要，我们在阅读过程中，经常遇到长句，使得我们无法理解整个篇章。依照这种“抓主干，看全局，解细节，易理解”的方法来对付长句，应该是比较有效的。甚至可以这样说，依照这样的长句方法，我们在书写和口语表达中，我们自己也可以将出类似的长句。

         对于Section B，因为在教材中已经附有参考译文了，我没有再花时间讲解。Section C是比较简单的，我用了很少的时间讲解，重点是要学生理解这种不定式开头的句子结构及表述方法。Section D我交给学生阅读，要求他们在5分钟之内读完，将问题提出来，我逐个解答，并要求他们课后再去精读。 

         最后我用了一个关于ICT应用的视频节目作为收尾，并要求学生将这个15分钟的视频节目，每人1分钟听写出来。
